Accounting & Finance Software

Accounting and finance software development

We build accounting and finance systems for businesses whose process does not fit a standard package — ledgers, invoicing, tax workflows and month-end automation designed around your actual chart of accounts and approval chains.

What we build

Off-the-shelf accounting software handles standard businesses well. It struggles when you have multiple entities settling between each other, revenue recognised across long projects, commission or profit-share calculations, or a tax regime the package was not built for. The usual result is a correct ledger surrounded by a ring of spreadsheets nobody wants to own. Custom finance software absorbs those spreadsheets.

General ledger and chart of accounts

Double-entry ledger with your account structure, cost centres, departments and projects — plus multi-currency and multi-entity where you need it.

Invoicing and receivables

Quotes, invoices, credit notes, recurring billing, payment allocation, statements and automated dunning for overdue accounts.

Payables and approvals

Supplier invoices, approval chains by amount and department, payment runs and reconciliation against purchase orders.

Tax workflows

VAT, GST and withholding handled according to the rules of the countries you operate in, with the return-ready reporting your accountant needs.

Month-end automation

Accruals, prepayments, depreciation, recurring journals, inter-company eliminations and a close checklist that tracks what is done and what is outstanding.

Management reporting

P&L and balance sheet by entity, department or project, cash-flow forecasting and the specific reports your board actually asks for.

Who this is for

  • Groups with several entities that trade with each other
  • Project and contract businesses recognising revenue over time
  • Companies whose commission, royalty or profit-share maths lives in spreadsheets
  • Finance teams spending days on a close that should take hours

How a finance build runs

  1. Model the accounting first

Chart of accounts, entity structure, tax treatment and reporting requirements are agreed with your accountant before a line of code. Finance systems are unforgiving of a wrong data model.

  2. Ledger and core flows

The ledger, invoicing and payment allocation ship first — the engine everything else depends on.

  3. Automation layer

Recurring journals, month-end routines and reporting are layered on once the core numbers are proven correct.

  4. Parallel run

We run the new system alongside the existing one for at least one full period and reconcile to the last unit before cutover.

Integrations we handle regularly

Bank feeds and statement imports Payment gateways ERP and inventory systems Payroll providers E-commerce and POS Existing accounting packages Tax filing portals where APIs exist

Where a system has no API, we build the bridge ourselves.

What it costs

We quote per project after the scoping call, because an honest number depends on scope rather than a price list. These are the factors that move it most:

  • Number of legal entities and currencies
  • Complexity of tax treatment across jurisdictions
  • Whether payables approval chains and month-end automation are in scope
  • Depth of historical data to migrate and reconcile

Engagements run as a fixed-scope project, a dedicated team on monthly contract, or an ongoing support & care plan.

Questions

Should we replace our accounting package entirely?

Often not. A common and cheaper pattern is to keep the statutory ledger where it is and build the layer around it — billing logic, approvals, project accounting, management reporting — feeding clean journals into the existing package. We recommend full replacement only when the package itself is the constraint.

Can it handle multiple countries and tax regimes?

Yes. Multi-entity, multi-currency and per-jurisdiction tax rules are a normal requirement for the businesses we work with across Asia and the Gulf. Rules are configured per entity rather than hard-coded.

Will our auditors accept a custom system?

Auditors care about controls and evidence: segregation of duties, immutable audit trails, approval records and the ability to produce supporting documentation. We build those in and involve your auditor during design rather than presenting them with a finished system.
