E-commerce Development
E-commerce development
We build e-commerce platforms for merchants whose catalogue, pricing or fulfilment has outgrown template platforms — custom storefronts, checkout flows that convert, and stock that stays accurate across every channel you sell on.
What we build
Template platforms are excellent until your business does something they did not anticipate: tiered wholesale pricing, configurable products, split fulfilment across warehouses, or a checkout that needs a local payment method the platform does not support. At that point you are paying for apps to patch gaps, and each one adds load time and another failure point. Custom e-commerce removes the patches.
Custom storefronts
Fast, mobile-first, SEO-ready storefronts built for your catalogue structure — including configurable products, bundles and variant logic that templates struggle with.
Checkout and payments
Short, high-converting checkout with the local payment methods your market actually uses, plus saved cards, wallets and instalment options where relevant.
Stock and multi-channel sync
One source of truth for inventory across your website, marketplaces and physical stores, so you stop overselling.
Fulfilment and shipping
Rate calculation, courier integration, label generation, split shipments, tracking and returns handling.
B2B and wholesale
Customer-specific price lists, credit terms, minimum order quantities, quote-to-order flows and account portals.
Merchandising and analytics
Search, filtering, recommendations, promotions and reporting on what actually sells, at what margin.
Who this is for
- Merchants paying for a stack of platform apps to cover missing functionality
- Businesses selling both B2C and B2B from the same catalogue
- Retailers whose online stock and in-store stock disagree
- Brands needing a local payment or logistics integration their platform does not support
How an e-commerce build runs
Catalogue and commercial model
We start with the hardest part: how products, variants, pricing tiers and promotions actually need to work. Get this wrong and everything downstream fights it.
Storefront and checkout
The buying path is built and tested first, because conversion rate on this flow determines the return on the whole project.
Operations integration
Stock, fulfilment, payments and accounting are connected so orders flow through without manual handling.
Launch and iterate
We migrate catalogue, customers and where possible order history, launch, then keep improving against real conversion data.
Integrations we handle regularly
Where a system has no API, we build the bridge ourselves.
What it costs
We quote per project after the scoping call, because an honest number depends on scope rather than a price list. These are the factors that move it most:
- Catalogue complexity — simple products versus configurable, bundled or made-to-order
- Whether B2B pricing and account portals are in scope
- Number of payment, courier and marketplace integrations
- Volume of catalogue and customer data to migrate
Engagements run as a fixed-scope project, a dedicated team on monthly contract, or an ongoing support & care plan.
Questions
Should we build custom or stay on a platform like Shopify?
Stay on the platform if it does what you need — that is the honest answer. Custom becomes worth it when app subscriptions and workarounds are already costing significant money, when your pricing or fulfilment model does not fit the platform, or when platform limits are measurably costing you conversion.
Can you keep our existing store running during the build?
Yes. The new platform is built and tested alongside the live store, with catalogue and customer migration rehearsed before cutover so the switch is short and reversible.
Will the new store keep our search rankings?
We preserve URL structure where possible and map redirects for everything that changes, plus carry over metadata and structured data. Rankings usually dip briefly around a migration and recover as the new pages are recrawled.
