Marketing Consultancy

Marketing consultancy

Senior marketing direction without a full-time CMO salary — an independent audit of what your spend is actually doing, a written strategy with owners and deadlines, and ongoing leadership if you want it. The deliverable is a working plan, not a slide deck that gathers dust.

What we provide

The pattern we see most is random acts of marketing: budget spread across channels on instinct, an execution team with no direction, and no one able to answer "what is working?" Consultancy fixes the thinking layer. We diagnose honestly — including telling you what to stop spending on — then either hand your team a clear roadmap or stay on as fractional leadership to drive it.

Marketing audit

A structured, independent review of channels, spend, analytics, brand presence and competitors — an outside-in view of what is working and what is not.

Strategy and planning

Positioning, target-audience definition, channel strategy, budget allocation and a prioritised roadmap with KPIs and owners.

Go-to-market strategy

Launch plans for new products, services or markets — pricing and messaging fit, channel selection, timeline and success metrics.

Fractional CMO

Part-time marketing leadership that owns the strategy, directs your in-house team or vendors, and reports to leadership — accountable for outcomes, not just advice.

Measurement and martech advisory

KPI frameworks, dashboards, attribution basics and selection of the right tool stack — CRM, analytics and automation that fit your size.

Team and vendor enablement

Hiring guidance, team structure, agency evaluation and training — so your own capability grows instead of depending on us forever.

Who this is for

  • Founders doing the marketing themselves who have hit a growth plateau
  • Companies with a junior in-house team that needs senior direction
  • Businesses launching a new product or entering a new market
  • Leadership teams who suspect marketing spend is being wasted and want an independent view before reinvesting

How an engagement runs

  1. Discovery

Goals, constraints, stakeholder interviews and data access — we listen before we diagnose.

  2. Audit and diagnosis

An evidence-based assessment of channels, funnel, competitors and positioning, delivered plainly.

  3. Strategy and roadmap

A written plan with priorities, budget, KPIs and a named owner for every action.

  4. Implementation support

Hands-on guidance or fractional leadership with regular checkpoints — and course-correction when the data says so.

What we work with

If our execution teams are also a candidate to deliver the plan, we say so openly — the strategy stands on its own and you are free to take it anywhere.

What it costs

We quote per project after the scoping call, because an honest number depends on scope rather than a price list. These are the factors that move it most:

  • Engagement model — a one-time audit or plan versus an ongoing retainer or fractional role
  • Scope and complexity — products, markets, channels and stakeholders involved
  • Depth of involvement — advice only, or embedded leadership directing teams and vendors
  • Specialist expertise required for your industry

Engagements run as a fixed-scope project, a dedicated team on monthly contract, or an ongoing support & care plan.

Questions

What do we actually get?

Concrete artefacts: an audit report, a strategy document, a prioritised roadmap, a KPI dashboard and an agreed meeting cadence. But deliverables are the proxy — the engagement is defined by business outcomes agreed up front, and you keep ownership of every account, dataset and asset.

How is this different from hiring an agency or a full-time marketer?

A consultant provides strategy and leadership across all channels and can direct agencies or in-house staff; an agency executes specific channels; a full-time senior hire costs far more. Often the consultant writes the plan that others deliver — and when we could be one of those others, we disclose it.

How long until we see results, and what is the commitment?

Strategy output arrives in weeks; market results depend on execution. A typical starting commitment in this industry is three to six months, then month to month. We commit to defined milestones and transparent reporting, never to revenue on a fixed date.
